The Summer Dance Training (Intensives and Open Technique Classes) is an audition and preparation leading to the 2021-2022 Season.
NEW and ASPIRING STUDENTS who are interested in joining Coastal Dance Centre’s Conservatory and Elite Conservatory / Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre’ Training and Performance Company Program for our 2021-2022 season: We highly recommend that you attend our Summer Dance Training -the Intensives.
The CDC and CYBT faculty alongside with guest master teachers and choreographers will review the prospective applicant’s summer performance before we schedule a formal interview and eventually, the acceptance into the year-round 2021-2022 Dance Season. BOYS ONLY SUMMER INTENSIVE
For ages: 9 – 19 years
This Summer Intensive is intended for dancers who are at least 9 years old by the first day of the program. Dancers must have at least a year or two of ballet training and must show potential in ballet. Strengthen your technique and mastery of ballet. Deepen your understanding of posture and placement, enhance your vocabulary, fine tune your technique, and challenge yourself!

| July 12 – 15, 2 pm – 6 pm |
| 4 days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm daily, 16 hours per week |
| Daily classes will be taught by the Coastal Dance Centre resident faculty and will include: Ballet Technique, Classical Variation, Partnering, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) / Pilates. |
| Cost: $280 |
Non-refundable Deposit to reserve dancer’s place in Intensive: $100 (deposit will be credited toward tuition)

JUNIOR SUMMER INTENSIVE
For ages: 9 years and up
This Summer Intensive is intended for the serious young competition dancer, ages 9 years and up, showing exceptional talent and potential in ballet. Strengthen your technique and mastery of ballet with Coastal Dance Centre’s resident faculty. Challenge yourself! Deepen your understanding of posture and placement, enhance your vocabulary, fine tune your technique, prepare for pre-pointe work properly.

| Week 1: July 19 – 23, 2 pm – 6 pm Week 2: July 26 – 30, 2 pm – 6 pm |
| 5 days per week, Monday through Friday 4 hours training per day – 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily |
| Daily classes will include: Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, Classical Variations, Character, Contemporary, Progressing Ballet Technique / Pilates |
| Cost: 1 week = $350; 2 weeks = $600 |
Non-refundable Deposit to reserve dancer’s place in Intensive: $100 (deposit will be credited toward tuition)

INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED SUMMER INTENSIVE
For ages: 13 years and up
This Summer Intensive is for the Intermediate and Advanced level dancer, ages 13 and up, who are looking to strengthen their ballet technique, pointe work and work on their artistry through classical ballet training. Taught by Coastal Dance Centre’s resident faculty and guest master teachers.

| Week 1: July 19 – 23 Week 2: July 26 – 30 |
| 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm 6 hours training per day, total of 30 hours per week |
| Daily classes will include: Ballet Technique, Pointe Work, Classical Variations, Repertoire, Partnering (TBD), Progressing Ballet Technique / Pilates |
| Cost: 1 week = $550; 2 weeks = $1,000 |
Non-refundable Deposit to reserve dancer’s place in Intensive: $200 (deposit will be credited toward tuition)
Full Tuition Payment Due: On or Before July 15, 2021
