We could not be more proud of ALL our students who performed at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Regional Competition in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this past February 16 to 20: Anna Kate Mata, Sabina Princiotta, Kendall Brady, Piper Jenerette, Sofia Obiena, Siena España, McKinsey Wright, Willow Owens, Lexi Church, Enzo España, Margaret Gorman, Emmy Henderson, Giada Hoeveler, Esme Sutherland, Scarlett Vinot and Ashley Wahila – they all danced their best and were all absolutely beautiful on the stage!
These dancers started preparing back in August and have already improved so much from all of the work they have done. We are truly proud of their growth and we celebrate their success and achievements.
The Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the world’s largest non-profit international student ballet competition and scholarship program, open to dance students of all nationalities, 9–19 years old. Each year, over 10,000 dancers participate in the competitions and auditions YAGP conducts in locations in North America and all over the world.
We extend a Very Special CONGRATULATIONS to:
SIENA ESPAÑA (15) – for winning 1st PLACE in the Senior Age Division (15-20 years), Classical Category and for being in the Top 12 in the Senior Age Contemporary Category;
PIPER JENERETTE (13) – for placing in the Top 12 of the Junior Age Category (12-14 years) Classical Category;
Coastal Dance Centre Elite Conservatory members: SIENA ESPAÑA, PIPER JENERETTE, SOFIA OBIENA, WILLOW OWENS, and MCKINSEY WRIGHT – for winning 3rd Place in the Large Ensemble Category.

Competing and placing at this particular YAGP regional where there were hundreds of incredibly talented dancers coming from some of the best dance schools in the US was quite a challenge and a feat and we are very proud that our dancers held their own remarkably well.
Thank you to all our Junior Conservatory Ensemble and Elite Conservatory parents, grandparents, family members and our team of coaches, teachers/choreographers for their never-ending support and for helping to make this YAGP weekend a great success!
