For the regular school year, all Coastal Dance Centre dance classes have a specified uniform attire. Parents / guardians must purchase the required leotards with the Coastal Dance Centre logo at the Front Office.Â
For the complete prescribed attire for the classes, please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook or see the Front Office Staff.
Tights, ballet shoes, shorts, etc. are also available at the Front Office, subject to availability. When unavailable, the staff can redirect you to the dance store where you can purchase the said items. We recommend that you purchase it at

It is important that students abide by a dress code / prescribed uniform  for the following reasons:
• A large part of being a dancer is what a student wears to class and how it creates a more focused dancer.
• A uniform set of leotard and tights makes it possible for the teachers to see the dancer’s alignment and body in order to make the proper adjustment, placement and corrections to the body.
• Young dancers can be distracted by their own dance wear. Tutus, skirts and jewelry become their focus instead of the teacher.Â
• No Jewelry please! It can be dangerous especially when it gets entangled with another dancer.
• The different colored uniforms represent growth into the next level of dance and give dancers a goal to get to the next level.
• Learning to work together as a group can be achieved more easily when distractions of different (patterned and colorful) dance wear are eliminated.
•  When setting choreography, it is easier for the teachers when dancers are dressed the same.
•  Dancers understand that they are going to a structured class.
Summer Classes have more lenient rules in uniforms. Dance attire with the Coastal Dance Centre logo will not be required but should not be too extravagant, bright or distracting to the classes.

The tuition for each session is based upon the number of class hours in which a student is enrolled per week. It is highly encouraged to take more than an hour per week to take advantage of reduced tuition rates (per hour) subsequently. The tuition rate per session stays the same regardless of attendance, school closures, or closures due to weather. Tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable, and not prorated for partial attendance. Annual tuition is payable in ten (10) monthly sessions. Students are not charged for the weeks the studio is closed for winter and spring break. These three weeks that there are no classes are omitted from the tuition calendar. Registration fee and tuition are due upon registration of each student. If a student registers in the last week of a session, payment will be due for the next monthly session as well. Classes missed are considered forfeited. Credit WILL NOT be given for classes missed due to illness, vacation, school closings, or acts of nature such as inclement weather. |

There is a $49.00 registration fee and a $39.00 registration fee for each additional family member. “Family member’ meaning – living in the same household. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration fee is due at the time of registration. This is valid from August 19, 2024 through the 2025 Summer Session. New students registering for Summer 2025 will be charged a fee of $25. |
